Moto Pizza has gained a feverish following at its West Seattle location and if you want to obtain one of the coveted Detroit style pizza, be ready to join a weeks long waiting list.

Owners Lee Kindell and Nancy Gambin built that following by the quality of their pizzas. It starts with a handmade sourdough crusts, which is the foundation for creative flavors like Crab pizza, the Harlem Chop, and the above Clam Chowdah. The final touch is the signature condiment - Garlic Chili Crunch Oil.

With that recipe for excellence, the restaurant is expanding to Belltown, with a new location in the Northwest Work Lofts. (Which just happens to be adjacent to the Edgemont Group Seattle Office Loft).

With the expansion, Moto Pizza is deploying new tactics to increase their capacity for making the treasured pies. These include a mechanical mixer, urban farmed arugula, and self-pouring drinks, along with plans for robotic pizza assembly line.

These innovations will allow Moto to meet the increased demand of their pizzas without losing the attention to detail that made them so cherished in the first place.

Be sure to read the store below in Eater, and look out for the new Belltown location this summer!
