Ballard mainstay Shelter has always had a strong following due to its incredible atmosphere, fueled by Friday night DJ's and a firepit suitable for S'more roasting.
Last fall, the restaurant shifted their entire menu to be entirely vegan, in conjunction with vegan food truck Cycle Dogs.
The entire menu is worth a tasting, but of particular excellence are the vegan biscuits and gravy, which should be enjoyed on a slow weekday morning in the airy Shelter environment.
