One of the a newest members of the Leafwerx strain family, Purple Punch has quickly become a favorite of our growers and extractors.

Purple Punch is bred from two indica leaning West Coast classics in Granddaddy Purple and Larry OG., and the cross brings out great attributes of each strain while establishing its own distinctive personality.

Cannabis Now details the origin of Purple Punch in their excellent article on the strain,

“The Village first got his hands on a cut of Purple Punch through his friend known as “Budologist.” At the time, Budologist had already gifted him a variety of strains, including Pennywise and others he had acquired throughout the years, and the two were already working on an extraction project together. When Supernova traveled south to California in search of the state’s elite genetics in 2013, he gifted Budologist — and one other person — a cut of his Purple Punch.”

The strain really took off when notable strain tastemakers Jungle Boys brought the strain to Los Angeles.

With the strain’s additional exposure, its popularity took off, and The Village was able to launch Symbiotic Genetics with his collaborators.

Why is Purple Punch so magical?

Purple Punch makes its first unique impact as a plant, marked by rich dark purple leaves and trichome frosted flowers.

As it is consumed, the dual meanings of Purple Punch emerge. First, its flavor, filled with notes of sweet and slightly tart berries and grapes, is worthy of the finest glass punchbowl. Second, its sedative, calming, and relaxing effects all settle in with delightful force.

A favorite of growers and connoisseurs alike, Purple Punch has become an instant classic.
